"Yeah, it's usually pretty pleasant. It can get stressful when we have a lot of orders and deadlines for all of them, but that doesn't happen too often except for around Valentine's Day." Vincent drained the rest of his coffee, looking back up at Ricardo afterwards. "We can go over there now, If you like, so you can meet Finn."

Vincent led him through the door and across the street to the flower shop. He unlocked the door and pushed it open. Finn, who'd been laying in what little sunlight there was left, clambered up and padded towards the two as soon as he heard the keys in the lock.

"Did you guys get him from a shelter?" Ricardo held the cat, grinning down at the warmth in his arms. He was already internally designing some sort of ink centered around the cat. Maybe a white ink. The blind eyes are definitely cool, although maybe not so much the patches of baldness... I like the long ears. Maybe a lot of detail on those would make a cool image.

"No, but we did rescue him, in a way," Vincent said as he stroked the soft gray fur of the cat's head. "There used to be a cat that lived on this street and wandered around. People fed her, so she was pretty well-off. We almost thought we were feeding her too much because she started getting fat. It wasn't until later that we realized she was pregnant. She had three kittens, but two of them died since they were all premature. We didn't want to separate Finn and his mother, and it would've been too stressful to move the mother away from her home, so since we're the only ones who live above our shop, we took them in."

"Six years ago. But she lived a long life, so don't worry. And of course, Finn is really old too. I can't believe he's holding up this well despite his age." Vincent smiled as the cat nestled himself against Ricardo's chest, presumably going down for a nap. "Can you feel him purring? He usually purrs when he's held."
