"I can imagine," he said with a small smile, scribbling something in the margin of the paper he was marking. "My parents only wanted one child. My sister was a bit of a mistake, but I don't think they minded that much. There's only the two of us, so it doesn't usually get too hectic."

"Awh come on, don't be like that." She leant forwards almost eagerly, pushing her drink to the side. "I won't tell anyone, honest. Surely there can't be anything worse than..." She trailed off, catching her tongue before she uttered the name 'Bennett' in case it offended her colleague.

He gave her a stern look. It was one that had become well developed since working at Hogwarts, and he found himself using in on a daily basis. Almost instinctively, he returned to his marking as he replied, "do you have a middle name?"
