Robyn leant back on her chair, twirling the quill between her fingers. The black ink that stained the tip had long since dried and she felt a bit miffed by it. She had stopped working long enough for it to harden. "Keep it up, as long as I get the OWLs I need, I'm all set to take the NEWT classes. Potions is a definite must..." Her eyes drifted to the abandoned essay pushed to the side. Guilty as charged. She really needed to get back to work soon. "Really." She answered firmly, yet again making the crucial mistake of looking at him as she snuck a glance at his expression. Curses. Her eyes softened, unable to turn away. "I-I guess I could go for a bit if you're really that desperate."

In near opposite of her movements, he leans even further forward in his chair, chin now dropped form his hands to rest on the table, though his sugary gaze remains set on her. Potions... So she was working on that before he interrupted? And by her words, she probably liked the subject, or at least wanted to continue it for a chosen career path. The latter, was right for him, not that that was any concern of hers. 'You want to do somethin' that requires potions? Ah, interesting. I can tell you, I'm only just starting my sixth year, and it's already pretty hard.' After those words, he releases a soft, somewhat high-pitched whine, at his distress with the subject. Oh, but it soon cuts out as she agrees, and the grin is back, and brighter than ever, arms thrust into the air once more, in celebration. 'You will?! Thank you! I do promise, I'll buy you somethin' you want to make up for the bother.'

She froze on the spot, that look was too much. Way too much. She had only known him for a short time (but it seemed much longer than that) and he was already exploiting a newly established weakness. Blast it. If it continued, she was going to be in for a long and stressful year, she just knew it. The notion was nagging on the back of her mind and she just couldn't rid herself of it, he liked making small talk and the way he had cornered her, the only thing she could do was respond. "That's right, and I assume that you do too because you haven't dropped it yet." And there he was celebrating again after she had been pressured into agreeing with him. He was craftier than she gave him credit for. "And only for a bit." She stressed, reminding him of what she had said just moments before in case merely being happy made him forget.

Despite how it seems, he's not actually trying to make her do anything for him. His natural reaction to rejection is his kicked puppy look, and pleading with people always draws out the sweet, doe-eyed expression. Though, maybe one day, she'd do something with him that he didn't need to coerce her into. That'd be nice, in his mind anyway. 'Mmhmm. It's kind of a lot of hassle. Even harder than Herbology, really. But I'm tryin' my hardest to get through it all and to pass the next two years.' He nods again, running the same hand through his hair once more. It's soft, so he doesn't mind touching it so much, but the constant habit is a little odd. 'A bit is just fine! I'm just pretty glad you've decided you'll come with me.'

This is just a one time thing, she repeatedly told herself, just once. After this is over a done with, I can get back to the quiet life. She wanted to throw her head back and yell but it was unlike her, and besides, they were still in the library. The librarian would have her head if she as so much slammed shut a tome. "Herbology..." Robyn blinked, realisation smacking her in the face. The conversation had gone off track, they hadn't even begun to talk about his Herbology work which was why she had been pestered in the first place. They really better get started soon. "I'm not into any of those sport shops." She warned, hoping to deter him. "Ink and books, that's all you'll be seeing if I'm going with you."

His head bobs continually, in a series of erratic nods, grin still etched onto his face. It really never fades from his face for long, it seems. Oh, but right now, he really can't help it. He's just about over the moon. 'Herbology?' Kaleb has long since forgotten the fact tat he should be doing his work, and not talking to the girl. Whoops. 'No, no! That's fine, I promise. Though, we should also head to the sweet shop too, unless you're not one with a sweet tooth, in which case, we don't have to. But if we do go, I will buy you somethin'! The best thing I can find.'

She found herself with a small smile gracing her features before she caught herself and quickly turned away. His happiness was contagious and she had let her guard down. Robyn mentally cursed, scolding herself for not being careful enough. "So what part of Herbology did you need help with?" It was about time that they got started on the root of all her problems that day. "But sweets huh? Believe it or not, I've never really had any before. Probably just the odd Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and they've put me off anything like that for a long time."

"Nice to meet you too, Amelia." Gillbird chirped loudly, almost indignant at not being introduced. "Oh, and this is Gilbird." (Sorry for late response, I think this got Burried in other RPs ) Amelia smiled. "Hi there, Gillbird," she said to the bird.

Gillbird hopped onto Amelia's shoulder, nibbling at her earlobes. Lilli giggled. "I'm sorry, I'll get him off if you want."

"The common room is very big, and very beautiful," she responded, relieved that the conversation had turned to something she didn't have to pretend she knew about. "There's marble statues and a blue roof with bronze stars, and a wonderful view of the lake. And there's a hidden library in our dormitories... it's amazing."

"Sounds lovely," she said. "I've always wished I could be a Ravenclaw. I hear other people say things about Hufflepuff, like that we're the house where all of the students who don't fit anywhere else go. And Ravenclaws are always super smart. But the Sorting House knows best, I suppose," she finished with a sigh.

Lilli frowned. "No, you should be proud of Hufflepuff. It's where the kindest, most loyal people go. You always know you can depend on a Hufflepuff. They're never going to judge you or treat you badly, and that's something than many in the other houses completely lack."

Amelia smiled. "That's really nice of you to say. Thanks." Then she looked down awkwardly. How do you become friends with someone? Do you just ask? Do you say you want to hang out more? Oh goodness, what do I do?
