"Mrs. Smith!" Russell called, leading Corinne down the hallway towards the study.

Name: Alain Pendragon III, Prince of Camelot Age: 17 Rank: Prince Appearance: Tall and thin, with curly black hair and green eyes. His skin is very pale, as are his eyes-- he looks almost sickly. Other: Initially seems shy and introverted due to his lack of activity around the castle or interactions with others. But really he's just a bored boy with a taste for grandeur and adventure. As he is prone to getting sick easily, his father has never let him out of the castle (for fear of losing his only heir to the throne). Still, Alain dreams of one day being able to leave and journey around the unknown. He spends most of his time drawing and writing, alone in his room.

Alain slowly walked down the large, stone staircases of the castle, glancing over his shoulder every few seconds. Lady Deinara would probably be hunting him down so that he could sit in on one of her gossip sessions with a few other nobles. Attempts to make him participate in their conversation, no doubt. If he could get on his horse fast enough, he'd probably be able to miss her...

"It's probably that." Maude was full to the brim with curiosity. There's always lying. They could be told that the seal broke while traveling.(I'm so sorry Rainy! I totally didn't see this! ) Margaret took her nail out from under the letter's seal. "Oh, who am I kidding? We can't read the Royal Mail! I'd get fired, and we'd both be in trouble if anyone found out." She tucked the letter back with the others, and continued up the hill. "C'mon! Maybe we'll get to see inside the castle when we go to the doors!"

Alain sighed as he reached the end of the stairs... only to peer down a hall with new ones. His room was at the very top of the castle, at the upper level of towers. This was the lower level now, but still high enough to be able to see over the large walls surrounding it. The Prince took a moment to stare out a window. In a distant hill, he could almost see figures... walking. Or maybe running. Movement looked tiny from up here. Still, it piqued his curiosity. Who were they?

(No problem at all! It's easy to miss stuff with this many pages, I'm sorry myself!) She nodded eagerly, climbing the hill beside the mail carrier. "Who usually picks up the mail? Is there someone at the castle gates?"

Alain's eyes widened. They're coming towards the castle! He quickly ran down the stairs. If he was quick enough, he could actually see them up close. Suddenly, he stopped. This behavior isn't befitting of a king. I can at least try to be dignified.

"Sometimes. If the gaurds are changing shifts one will usually just take it on their way in. I haven't gone straight to the gate in a while. Maybe today will be our lucky day!"

Alain continued his journey down the tall towers, pausing to look out a small square window every few minutes too see if those people were still out there. He was not disappointed. Still, his slow gait gave him time in silence with his thoughts-- which was never good.
Why are you so excited about this? What do you expect to do when you get down there, talk to them? It's not as if any social rules of the castle will allow you to. And it's not like they'll want to talk to you, or have anything to do with you, not with everything your father has done with Camelot...

"How long d'you think the wait will be this time?" she asked. Her curiosity about that letter had been diverted to curiosity about the inner workings of the castle. She'd no idea of any of it, seeing as her textiles were picked up by castle servants at the market.

Corinne studied the walls as they walked. Mrs. Smith looked up from her book. "Well it's about time!" she exclaimed. "Who is this girl? She's not supposed to be back here!" "Er, this is Corinne... She was a costumer from earlier. Eliza stroked her falcon absent-mindedly. I don't have any chores today...I suppose I could take a walk and bring Arthur hunting... She stood up and pulled on her coat. Arthur chirped excitedly as Eliza grabbed her bag for carrying back the animals and headed out the door. She waded through the long grass, looking over at the castle to the west. She was glad she didn't live terribly close to it, but that only made her more curious about it.

"Corinne, eh? Say, Russell...why'd you bring her back here? And where've you been all day? Surely going to the market doesn't take that long," she said suspiciously. "Well, I, uh...Corrine needed me to inspect her sick horse."
By the time Eliza stopped walking, she found herself rather closer to the castle than she normally ventured. She brushed it off as a mere lack of attention to where she was walking and pulled Arthur's hood off. "Arthur, fly," she commanded. The falcon rushed up to meet the sky and circled as he looked for prey.

Corinne nodded. "He treated him, the horse is looking better already."

"Very well. There's still the question of why you brought this young lady back here to see me," the older woman told Russell, a ghost of a smile on her face.
"Arthur, no!" Eliza yelled in exasperation when she saw the bird fly into one of the towers. I should've known he wasn't ready! I should've taken Aslan instead... She ran towards the castle warily, looking out for any guards as she whistled for her falcon.
