Name: Margaret Windover Age: 16 Rank: Middle class-Messenger Appearance: Strawberry blonde hair with hazelish brown eyes and light freckles. Other: Margaret likes to think of herself as the comic relief. She thinks she's funny, even though her puns might be horribly cheesy. She is rather loud mouthed, and likes to make sure her opinions are heard. She's somewhat stubborn. Her mind is a constant hive of activity, and she generally has lots of thoughts. They range from intellectual to farfetched fantasies. Her father owns one of Camelot's most widely used postal services, so she works as a a messenger.

Name: Maude Calder Age: 15 Rank: Worker: weaver Appearance: Short and chubby with long, dark hair Other: Lives alone save from a scruffy tabby that drops in from time to time. Weaves blankets and tapestries and clothing for the nobles. Something of a jack-of-all-trades, weaving isn't the only thing she does, and she keeps a stall in the market for selling crafted things to fellow citizens.
Name: Corinne Clair Age: 16 Rank: Squire, received training as a page Appearance: Tall and lean, with fair hair cut boy-short Other: Trains to become a knight.

Name: Russell Thatcher Age: 16 Rank: Apothecary apprentice Appearance: Chestnut hair with a large splattering of freckles across his cheeks and dull brown eyes Other: Russell is currently living and training with his teacher in her pharmacy and learning about healing and herbs. However, he is becoming increasingly more interested in alchemy, reading his mother's old books in secret. He believes that he can somehow find a way to make gold and get himself and his teacher out of near-poverty and save the business. Russell is quite hardworking and is eager to learn and can be a bit excitable at times. Despite this, underneath his mask of happiness, he carries the burden of feeling guilty for his parents' deaths and struggles with depression and occasional anxiety attacks.
Name: Eliza Fowler Age: 17 Rank: Falconer and animal trainer Appearance: Tall with boyish, close-cropped blond hair and hazel-green eyes. Often dresses in a more masculine way and despises dresses of any sort. Other: Eliza can often be short-tempered but has a very rational way of thinking, often strategizing before doing anything. She's very affectionate towards her two falcons and her dog and most times, she can only be seen with them, as she doesn't especially enjoy human company when she can avoid it. Eliza's often mistaken for a young man but she's not usually bothered by it. In her opinion, it's better to be good at your trade and take care of yourself rather than taking care to follow tradition.

Russell ran out from the back room with an armful of vials and small glass bottles full of herbs and various elixirs. "Don't you go running!" came a stern voice from the back. "Of course not, Mrs. Smith!" Russel replied, rolling his eyes as he rounded the corner of the hallway sharply.

(Last-minute name change) Corinne stepped into the apothecary, raising an eyebrow at the commotion. "Uh, hi."

Russell looked up, choosing the worst moment to trip on a loose tile. The vials and bottles flew from his hands and some of the bottles shattered. Russell banged his head on the wooden front counter and groaned.

Russell furiously picked up the remaining bottles and placed them onto the shelves as fast as possible. "Yeah, sorry about that, I uh..." He cleared his throat, putting on a smile and turning around to face Corinne. "Sorry about that, miss," he told her. "Are you here to purchase something?" Russell asked while gingerly touching the place where he hit his head.

"Well, just looking a bit. Do you have anything good for cleaning metal and removing scents?" she asked, glancing at the floor where glass shards lay.

"Cleaning metal? Well...we have some lard soap and lemon oil. That should help. As for removing scents...I'm not so sure." He scanned the shelves and took brought the items to the counter. Russell winced when Mrs. Smith came bursting into the front area. "What is the meaning of this?" she exploded. "Clean this up now, you ungrateful boy! I taught you better than this!" Russell flinched but nodded as his teacher stormed back to her study.

"Thanks. Nice lady there," she said, glaring in the general direction of Mrs. Smith's study. "How much for the soap?"

"Five pence for the soap and six for the lemon oil," he sighed. "And yeah, I'm her apprentice...she's a good teacher, just bossy."
"And you hardly look presentable enough to be serving costumers! Especially one who's a young lady!" Mrs. Smith's voice carried from the back. Russell blushed in embarrassment and made an attempt to smooth his hair down.

"I've just got back from training with knights, I don't find it distracting whether he's 'presentable' or not," Corinne grumbled softly. "I've got five pence with me now, I'll buy the soap. And will you need help cleaning that up?"

Russell nodded, hurrying off to fetch the one twig broom they had. He returned and began sweeping up the pieces of glass into a pile. "Sorry Miss, I just didn't expect someone like you to be training in combat."

"Like me? Do elaborate, kind… what's your name?" she responded, slightly guiltily. She knew it was uncommon for anyone but a male to operate in battle, but that didn't mean they had to look so shocked all the time. Besides, it was rather fun to make people squirm.

"Russell Thatcher," he answered, looking down at his hand uncertainly before offering it for her to shake.
