"Of course. I tried searching around our house for missing pages, even though it was foolish to do so. All the pages are bound into the book and there're no signs of tears. When I was a bit older, I asked my father who the author was, but he wouldn't tell me."

Jac made her way through the streets of Camelot, gaze fixed on the turrets of the citadel that loomed over the whole city. It was her third day in Camelot after her return from Caerleon, where she had spent her time in the royal court meeting princes and noblemen's sons alike. She had acted exactly as she should, with coy innocence and subtlety, and her father had commended her behaviour. Nothing changed in that respect.
