Come one, come all, it's the Cosmo 2.0.
A crew of researchers, pilots, engineers, and more, all bent on exploring outer space.
Welcome aboard Cosmo, an enormous starship tasked with exploring the galaxy. The mission is simple- trek through deep space, catalogue what is found, and don't stop. Volunteers and researchers signed up to live aboard the ship, possibly for the rest of their lives. Aboard Cosmo, there is a variety of age groups and people; the researchers didn't let age stop them when looking for intelligent individuals to help their efforts. Cosmo is the largest ship of its kind, with five separate annexes, four engines, and a huge piloting area.
Each separate wing of the starship has its own set of rooms, as well as a small, five-person expedition vehicle for flying out and landing on planets.
There are ten expedition vehicles: Nebula, Corona, Nova, Pulsar, Radiance, Prominence, Stella, Umbra, Wavelength, and Zenith. Each has five seats and one cockpit. They are stocked with sample-taking equipment and oxygen tanks.
Occasionally, space probes will be sent to the ship from Earth to send back progress reports, but nothing human-transportation-capable will be coming, as they are still scrounging for supplies after building the Cosmo.
Of course, we can't forget the groundbreaking gravity equalizers! Dorm rooms, as well as laboratories, are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that enable the crew and staff to experience the same gravitational pull as good old Earth.

Yay! I loved this one!  Character Name: Elsie Moore Age: 16 Job(researcher, pilot, engineer, etc.): Researcher Appearance: Wavy, bright red hair with forest green eyes and pale skin. Small frame, but not particularly short or tall. Slightly freckled. Sometimes wears wide frame glasses, but only when she's writing or reading reports. Personality: Elsie is curious by nature, but not obnoxious about it. She is sweet and rather soft-spoken, but not exactly shy. Other: Elsie is a scientist at heart, coming from a family of eccentric biologists and astronomers. When her parents and her older brother and sister were offered the chance to research aboard the Cosmo, she jumped at the opportunity to go with them. Elsie misses her home in Wales vaguely , but she has embraced life in space and enjoys it. |

Job(researcher, pilot, engineer, etc.): Technology Researcher
Appearance: Medium height, with short blonde hair and green eyes. Wears square glasses that are prone to breaking, so he has lots of replacements.
Personality: Analytical and practical, but has a romantic streak that results in him often reading strange romance novels from his native country, Estonia. Likes to think himself flirtatious, but often fails miserably at it.
Other: Moved from Estonia to space. He often misses his home country. Runs a Cosmo Blog to alert the Earth of their adventures.

(I'm gonna bring this back! I liked this one on the Oldsite.  ) Elsie burst through the lab door, her orange hair flying behind her. She sighed in relief when she skidded to a halt and didn't see anyone else in the lab yet. Yes! This means I've got first dibs on the best view!She adjusted her wide framed glasses and strode over to the window, grabbing her favorite clipboard, which had her current report clipped to it. Out the window, there was a huge red cloud out in the distance. Sure not Elsie's first nebula, but it sure was just as pretty. She took out her phone and snapped a few photos, which all went straight into the "Nebulas" album. |

She giggled. "What can I say? People like space stuff, especially when it's live from space!" She glanced down at the clipboard she was holding. "I'm just procrastinating though. This report is due this afternoon." Elsie sighed, blowing a strand of orange hair out of her face.
(Black holes? Aliens would be cool too! We could try one of the missions from the Oldsite?)

"It doesn't need to be that emotional. I mean, it's a research essay, but still. It's fun to see what I can come up with." She set down the clipboard. "Hey, do you guys want to have some fun testing the plants? I scanned them all up and most are edible and harmless. It would be cool to see what some of them do..." She motioned to the row of multicolored plants that sat on the shelf. "Some of the other chemists were playing with them the other day, and they were floating!"
