Owlpaw slid his paws across the ground, gliding smoothly over the snow as he mad his way towards a scraggly clump of bushes that the caribou had spared. He was so focused on staying silent that he didn't even notice the fox until it was only tail-lengths away.

(Ugh, I just realized that I've been calling him Owlpaw this whole time. Oops  ) Mosspaw shrank back, tail bushing up. The fox was just starting to lose its brown fur, so at the moment it blended with both the bush and the snow. He backed away slowly, placing each paw with infinite care. |
