"Of course not..." they answered, almost reluctantly. Ishmael glanced at the horse and then down at the ground, biting their lip. They looked back up at Santiago, ears burning in embarrassment. "I just um... I can't get down," they mumbled, voice low and fast.

A tiny smile tugged at the corner of Santiago's lip. "Let me help you, then," he sighed, reaching out his arms. "Just try to bring your leg over and balance as best you can. I'll help you down so you don't fall."

Ishmael grumbled something under their breath, not so keen on having to be helped, but they knew it was the only way down without breaking their leg. Carefully, they swung their leg over, balancing precariously on the stirrup and clinging to the saddle horn. After a moment, Ishmael just took a deep breath and jumped.

Santiago managed to catch Isaiah with a sharp puff of breath. They were heavier than he thought, but he managed to put them down on the ground. "Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, I'm fine," Ishmael mumbled, holding onto Santiago tightly. Eventually their heartrate slowed to a normal pace and they let out a breath. "I'm just surprised I didn't twist my ankle or something."

Ishmael gave him a small laugh, taking a step back and brushing themselves off. "Uh... Thanks, by the way," they mumbled, turning to the horse and tying her to a wooden post nearby.

"Fair enough," Ishmael replied with a shrug. "Whatever it is, it must be big." Vaguely, they wondered if it could be about the whole dream thing. After all, they were brought here because of it.

"Nothing that I noticed. There were a couple other horses in the pasture, and I think there might've been some crop fields beyond it. But other than that, nothing that seemed out of the ordinary."

At this point, they'd reached the house. Santiago pushed open the door, glancing at Ishmael before entering. "Hopefully we don't get any unwelcome visitors." With that, he stepped onto the carpet, calling out a greeting.
