"Hmm... Sounds suspicious to me. Whoever these people are, it seems like they've got everything planned out." Ishmael crossed their arms uncomfortably, avoiding Santiago's gaze and staring at the long grass instead. This discovery of theirs made them wonder what else these people had in store for them. Whatever it was, it sure wasn't going to be fun little summer camp.

Elle had been subconsciously drawn to the cadence of voices down the hall, so a halfway through this conversation she appeared in living room, her nose in a stapled packet of papers. "So I found something..." She looked up, displaying the papers. On them were scrawled series of numbers, and upon further inspection of the pages, several keys and instructions. "I think it's some sort of a maintenance manual. I found it in the back of the file cabinet. Any idea what it could be for?"

Ishmael kicked off their shoes and hurried after Santiago, eager to see these computers Sita had been talking about. And maybe whatever Elle had found would actually get them somewhere with figuring out what exactly these people brought them here for.

For the rest of the short trek to the basement, Santiago was silent, lips pressed tightly together. He couldn't help but wonder exactly why they were here. Obviously, their abilities could be used to enforce a wicked sort of agenda, but that thought didn't faze him as much as the fact that he didn't know for sure. By the time they had reached the door at the foot of the stairs, Santiago had already braced himself for the worst as he turned around to the others. "Here we are."

The Jew peered around Santiago at the door, not entirely sure of what to expect when it opened. "Sure feels spooky..." they commented quietly. "Well, what're you waiting for? I wanna know what's inside." Ishmael knew there were computers, but were there filing cabinets? Desks? Chairs? Were the computers all futuristic and tech-y or were they just modern? Was the room painted? All (well, most) of this could potentially determine how much they found out about the boss' motives and agenda.
