After a moment of consideration, Santiago decided that the job he had chosen for himself was mostly pointless. He had no idea how to go about finding some sort of hidden video or audio recording device, much less removing or destroying it. As he made his way out of the hallway, he shrugged off that brief moment in which he had almost imagined that his father had been there. He shrugged off the sudden panic at the notion, and the subsequent relief that he was alone. It's perfectly normal, I suppose. Aren't teenagers supposed to like being away from their parents? That's what all my books used to say.

After "Lavender Lane" had pulled the cover story and fake IDs from the kitchen safe, she piled the loot in the center of the dining room table, where the first case file was allegedly supposed to appear. While she waited, she flipped through the cover book again.
Four students, sent by the University of Montana's undergraduate Agricultural Geography program to study the effect of climate on agriculture, and thus the economy of an area. Said students will spend one semester living in rural Montana to complete case study, but time may be extended by request or lack of adequate data within the given time period.
Elle closed the book and opened up her ID file. A glossy plastic card fell out, what appeared to be a student ID badge.
