She allowed herself a smile once she realised the people creating so much noise were simply children. Although, she reflected with a frown, what was a waterbender doing in the Earth Kingdom? And where were their parents? Her natural curiosity got the better of her, and she tried to creep forwards quietly to listen more closely to their conversation.

Behind her, Siku stood up, alert. The Polar Bear Dog began growling, his muscles tense. He could smell a stranger.

She froze, realising they'd spotted her, and after a moment's hesitation walked out from behind the tree, holding out her hands to show she meant no harm. "It's okay," she called. "I was just wondering what you're doing out here alone."

Hiranya exchanged the glance, brows furrowing. For a moment, she wondered why Tikaani was not revealing Rajiv. But... what if she senses something about this girl that I don't? Yes, maybe it's smart to keep Raj on a low profile for now... She glanced down at her brother, who was still playing with the water. Could she trust him to keep his mouth shut?
