Amused now, she turned a new page and paused, gaze travelling over the runes listed in the margin. "What about these? Any use to you?" She held the book out for him to see, finger hovering over the images. "Oh, please do." He smiled pleasantly before glancing over to where she was pointing. Xander's expression slowly lit up. "I think that one'll be great, balancing has always been a huge problem with Thunderbolt brooms but it looks rather complicated..." He hummed to himself, tracing the complex structure of the rune in the air with his finger. This was done several times until he felt some form of satisfaction from the action. "... I'll get the hang of it when I practice more." "Glad I could help," Rita said, a vaguely smug tone in her voice as she pushed the book into his hands. Her mind wandered to the potions essay she had discarded without even starting it. "Say... You don't happen to know anything about the properties of..." She squinted down at her own hands, reading a hastily scribbled phrase on her palm. "Uh, artemisa absinthium...? I don't even know what it is." |
