Giovanni gently pushed the door open, seeing Xander, Bianca, Leo, Nicolas, and Ricardo all inside. He glanced at Tessa, wondering whether she really was well enough to enjoy the celebrations.

Leo cast a sideways glance at Bianca, subtly trying to gauge her reaction.

Jane smiled and waved a little bit at Tessa, but chose to play it safe and stay where she was for the time being. It might look weird if she went running up to her.

Nicolas froze, swiveling his head in the direction of Tessa's voice. He hadn't heard it in so long that he was afraid that it might be someone different. "T-Tessa?"

Tessa had caught Bianca's gaze, and felt a chill of unease run down her spine. Her best friend hadn't written for the entire time she'd been away and there she was, smiling and waving at her. However, any reaction she would have shown was prevented by Nic's voice. She felt a genuine smile curve her lips and crossed the short space between them. "Hey, you," her voice was softer than intended, and the affection it conveyed startled her a little.

She pressed her face into the space where his neck and shoulder met, inhaling the scent of him. She'd almost forgotten it in the time she'd been away. "I missed you too!" Flushed, Tessa drew back a step, adding the obligatory "all of you."

Nicolas found her hand, giving it a small squeeze. His stomach felt like it was swooping, flying. Tessa's back, she's back, she's home and everything can be normal again.

She felt a tingle of warmth go through her at the small gesture, and squeezed his hand back. It was then that she finally took the time to glance around the room. The roller coaster theme made her feel somewhat apprehensive; she had barely made it down the stairs without feeling like she needed to sleep for a week, so she wasn't sure how she would fare. But the thought was there nevertheless. "Where's Jane?" She asked after a few moments, noticing that the Ravenclaw was missing.

Ricardo slipped from his place on the table, hesitating in the small and awkward silence. "So... we should probably show Tessa around this place already, then! Leo did do a really great job on creating it. And we can hear all about your time at home, too. You mentioned that you had a surprise in your last letter."
