The Canadian looked up sharply, scrambling to pull on a pair of pants. He rummaged through his drawer for a shirt, wondering why he just had to wish for spmeone to pay him a visit.

He tugged the shirt on, one arm still not through its sleeve by the time he opened the door. Standing there, he stared down at Jack, expressionless.

Jack attempted to wheel himself inside, jumping at the sudden impact of the sides of the wheelchair against the too-thin door. "...Maybe I should just stay here, then."

Philip looked back, and after assessing Jack's situation, pulled up a chair and sat across from him, hands folded in his lap, covering a notepad of his own.

Philip shrugged before pausing and nodding. He reached up to touch the bandages covering the gash on his cheek gingerly, afraid it might start bleeding again. It might leave a scar, but he found that he didn't care so much. Carefully, hesitantly, he picked up his pen. I'm fine.

Jack nodded, shifting in his seat before continuing. "And, uh... I know things went pretty badly for you and Nando. I wanted to ask you about how you were feeling. Like, why you're so upset... and stuff. Maybe talking about it could make you feel better? I dunno, if you're okay with it." His words were coming out in a hurried, uncomfortable babble. I suck at this. I suck at feelings.

"You actually took the guy head-on!" Jack protested. "If you hadn't, he would've gotten away anyway. And you did slow him down. He probably would have killed my math teacher otherwise. It was really brave, I thought."

"I think you're going to get your rematch soon enough. I'm working on finding the guy. It's obvious that he's with some sort of group, with all of the symbols on his suit. Which makes this a lot more complicated than we first thought. But it may make him easier to track down."

Philip nodded again understandingly, scribbling something on the notepad. After putting it in Jack's lap, he stood, placing a hand on the top of Jack's head for a brief moment before retreating back into his room.

Is was a very rare occurrence that Victoire was put on food duty. In most cases, she ended up burning dinner, but there had been a few cases of food poisoning that originated from her cooking. It wasn't like anybody else had thought to make Dinner after today's events though, so here she was, watching a steadily boiling pot and trying not to touch the burn marks on her hands while she chopped carrots. So far, things seemed to be going well... Or at least not catastrophically bad.

After a while, a rumbling stomach drove Philip out from hiding. He missed his cache of snacks he had hidden away in his room back home. And now, he'd have to stockpile for months to make one of the same greatness here. When the smell of something burning hit him, he hurried to the kitchen, finding Victoire fumbling with a large knife and various root vegetables.
