"I believe it would. She plays a large role in what is to come." The dog sniffed the air, wondering what had caught Venus's attention.

Victoria finishes sooner than expected and finds herself with nothing to do. Judas is busy with costumers, so she's left to her own devices. On a whim, she decides to go downtown to the shops. There was a bookstore she'd been lusting after for a while. Victoria throws on her coat over her dress and whisks out onto the breezy street. She would've told Judas where she was going if he'd not been talking with someone, but she dismissed the issue, figuring she'd be back in only a few minutes.

"We can meet by here… every other day?" she meowed, returning her attention to Jacob. "Or just whenever we can. Exchange information, talk, the like." (Probably last post for the night, internet turns off at 9 )

(see you tomorrow!) "Sounds like a plan. But how about behind the shop? Seeing a dog barking at a cat every other day may make it rather obvious that we're not normal animals." Jacob looked up, seeing Victoria leave the shop. "There she is. The girl. I think we should follow her."

Victoria makes her way down the lineup of businesses, examining nearly each one she passes on her way to the bookstore. It was hard not to stop at one of the small restaurants to get something to eat, especially now that she knew she had enough money to pay for something like that. But she continues on with her mission, aware that her employer was likely to be cross with her for leaving so unexpectedly.

Venus nodded. "Yes and yes." She wished nonverbal communication between the two of them was an option, but that kind of magic required months to years of focused spellwork to be perfected. "Where do you suppose she's going?"

"I certainly hope it's not somewhere that she can meet your witch. Then the events that we've predicted will come much, much sooner than we're ready for."

"Yes. Speaking of that," she said nervously. "We need to make sure they do meet at some point… not too soon, of course, but if we wait too long, our choices will have no impact. Our casters- and the girl- may come to be harmed. If the events do begin to unfold, we need to know where to find each other. I can guide my witch to you if I need to, but I do not know how willing the alchemist or the witch or the girl will be to stay together if they don't know each other."

Jacob hesitated, shifting on his paws as he trotted after Victoria. "I don't know about that. I have the feeling that fate might do the job for us... in all of the scenarios that I see, they meet somehow. Is it really our place to speed this up?"

"You have a point. It's hard to judge what we should do at times." Venus kept to the shadows, thinking. "What's your alchemist like?"

Victoria enteres the bookstore discreetly, keeping an eye out for her long-time pursuers. She finds her book quickly and walks out as soon as she's made her purchase. Upon her exit, she notices Jacob outside, along with Venus. She stops in her tracks, staring at the two familiars in modest surprise.

"He's really quiet and serious all the time, and he never really talks about his feelings. But that's okay because I feel enough for the both of-- oh, cover's blown. She's looking right at us!"

Venus's fur puffed out- embarrassing, but reflexive. "Okay, maybe we should discuss this another time." She glanced from side to side, ready to bolt.

"Hey Jacob," she says hesitantly and glances at the cat next to him. "What're you doing here?" Victoria knows he can't answer to her, but she asks the question anyway. Her first explanation she comes up with is that Judas had noticed she'd left and sent Jacob after her, but for her sake, she hopes that's not the case.

Jacob only turned to Venus, quickly barking. "Tomorrow, same time. Bring the witch." My he boxer turned to Victoria, whimpering at the back of his throat.

Victoria reaches down and places a few strokes upon Jacob's head. "I know. I know," she sighs. "I'm coming." Victoria continues down the street, her pace a bit faster. Occasionally, she glances behind her to make sure Jacob hasn't gotten shoved back by the crowd.

When Victoria reaches Carreiro Mechanics, there're no more costumers. All that's waiting for her in the store is Judas, and he's probably furious. Shit. She'd been hoping a throng of other people would hide her when she returned. Maybe Jacob can back her up.

Judas was pacing in the lab, running his hands through his hair and trying to figure out where Victoria could be. It was more than obvious that she actually wanted to stay in the shop, so there was no reason to think that she ran away willingly. What if she had gone out for a walk and gotten kidnapped? Or arrested? What if they interrogate her and get information about my line of work?!

Victoria enters the shop quietly, clutching the book to her chest. She glances around the shop as if Judas were waiting in the shadows ready to ambush her with a confrontation. But he didn't. He must be in the lab. Luckily for Victoria, the door is ajar, saving her the trouble of having to knock, which surely would've been more embarrassing than just walking in. She pushes the heavy door open slowly, as if she were a child wary of going into a dark room that was thought to be full of monsters or ghosts. "Sorry, sir," she mumbles from the threshold.
