"Nobody's going to be shopping in this weather," Judas sighed as he tapped on the glass of the door. "I guess we could try to take advantage of this as a cleaning day. Or take a day off, but there's no way to take advantage of that with the storm." I wonder if she even remembers anything from last night.

"You don't want to go outside?" Victoria sounds almost incredulous when she asks it, though she doesn't take her eyes from the window. "We haven't had snow here in a long time. Let alone this much."

Judas made an annoyed sort of noise in the back of his throat, but shrugged on his heaviest coat anyway. "Why do I let you convince me to do these kinds of things?"

"I'm always careful!" she retorts, flopping down into the snow the first chance she gets. The coldness is refreshing and exhilarating all at the same time. She can hardly remember a time when she enjoyed winter this much, having had to spend many of them out on the streets, where any shelter seemed to be already taken by someone else.

Judas slowly made his way through the snow, trying to get closer to her, but ended up slipping and falling flat on his back within three steps. "I hate winter."

Victoria can't help but laugh at him as she crawls out of the snow to help him. She gets all the way to his side before she hesitates. Her smile fades just a bit as she stands there, eventually holding out a hand.

Judas took it, but slipped at the last moment, landing on his face that time. After a moment, Judas did something he usually never did. He burst out laughing.

Victoria is silent with shock for a moment, but her smile soon grows until she's laughing too. She steps into deeper snow so she won't slip either as she grabs Judas's arm and hauls him to his feet, or at least tries to.

Judas managed to stand steady that time, grinning at Victoria. His smile was rusty, but genuine as he bent down, grabbing a handful of snow and slowly forming it to a ball.

"No you don't!" Victoria yells giddily, between breaths of laughter. She grabs a fistful of snow, not even bothering to shape it into a sphere before she smashes it into Judas's face.

Judas brushed the snow off, some of it still hanging from the stubble on his face before tossing his own snowball, laughing loudly.

It hits Victoria on the shoulder and she giggles. "Nice aim!" she says sarcastically, teasingly. Bending over, she scoops up an armful of snow, reaching above his head and dumping it before he has a chance to duck away.

"Hey!" He shook off the snow, some of it entering his jacket and soaking through his shirt. But for the first time in years, he didn't actually find himself caring. "C'mere, I'm going to bury you under all this s--Whoa!" He slipped again, landing hard on his butt.

"Stop slipping, you idiot." She kneels down next to Judas, shoving him into a snowbank. She grins, throwing herself down into the thick snow next to him after a moment's hesitation.

Victoria elbows him, brushing the snow from her coat and face. She looks over at him, nose and cheeks flushed from the cold. Her breathing is still quick from the small rush of adrenaline during their battle, and her smile's still wide. "You know, I don't think I've ever heard you laugh before," Victoria comments softly.
