"Oh, wait, the one in the bed... t-that was y-you?" He felt himself blush deeply, but... suddenly, he had no idea why he was so surprised. Of course it had been Vincent in the bed. Where else would he sleep? "I..." Ricardo's mouth went dry as he took a breath, quickly relaxing and taking Vincent's hand. "I must have had a bad dream. I don't know why I'm acting so crazy all of a sudden. Maybe I just need breakfast."

It was almost like he'd had some sort of amnesia. Vincent squeezed his hand as he led him down to the Great Hall. Hopefully he'll start acting more normally at breakfast.

Her sister's sudden interest in boys had taken her by surprise; she had been so sure that Elizabeth wasn't straight. Tessa swallowed, reaching to cut another piece of pancake. "Hey, Lizzie, do you fancy a shopping trip tomorrow? I haven't been in ages, and I'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms." |

"Dr Keogh, we need you in Resus!"
The alarmed voice came from the doorway, and Luc sighed.
"Alright, love, I'm going to have to go. I'll be back at around six, okay? Tell Ella I love her." He spoke into a phone, and a feminine voice answered him. A few moments later, he placed down the phone, the wedding ring on his finger catching the light as he did so.
Resus was surprisingly quiet, with just one bed occupied. "Okay, what've we got?" Luc asked as he entered, tugging on a pair of gloves.
"Female, mid twenties, fell from a balcony." The paramedic replied. "She's taken something but we've yet to confirm what. She was in VF at the scene but has since deteriorated. She's been asystolic for five minutes."
"Okay, can we get a twelve lead ECG, LFT, U's and E's, please. Crossmatch six units of O-neg. I need an IV line in, and prepare 1mg epinephrine."
"Dr, Keogh," one of the nurses said anxiously. "We haven't got any epinephrine left; it ran out weeks ago."
"Well, check again."
"But-"
"Check again," his voice came out slightly louder than intended and the nurse nodded, scurrying off.

Ricardo felt himself stop walking to stare at the table for a moment, letting his hand drop from Vincent's to his side. His movements were automatic and robotic, almost as if he couldn't control his own body. Obviously, it was the same table he and his friends sat at every morning, afternoon, and evening. It had always been there, just like that. But... Why does this feel wrong? Tensing, he forced himself to sit down in the space he usually did, next to Giovanni and Vincent. The former was reading through the newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee. |

Ricardo sighed quietly, rubbing at his eyes with one hand. "I... I just feel like a recovering amnesiac. Of course I recognize everything, but it just feels... surreal. Everything feels like it's brand new, even though it's always been like this." He took a bite of eggs carefully, the fork tight in his palm.
With a sudden start, peace lapped over him in waves, lowering his shoulders and relieving the tension in his hands as he ate more. Ricardo felt almost as if a heavy, but warm blanket had been wrapped around him, muffling the voices of apprehension in his head and leaving him in a quiet and sleepy sort of comfort. What am I doing? Everything is just like it should be. Everything is just... perfect. "I think..." he mumbled groggily. "I think I feel better now. I just needed food."

Giovanni lowered his newspaper, studying Ricardo's dazed expression with a satisfied smile. "Good morning, Vincent, Ricardo. I do hope you slept well. Leo's planned another one of his Room of Requirement parties for today. A scavenger hunt of sorts, I think. Elizabeth is making the food this time around."
