Steven Universe: The Roleplay

"Okay. That's okay," Coral said, sitting down next to Tanzanite. "You're okay. That's what matters right now, but we will try to find out how this happened. It's too strange to let it go by without a passing glance."

"Not much..." Coral answered carefully. "After you'd been gone a while, we started going out and looking for you. When I got back here, I guess it had turned out that Lepidolite found your gem."

Coral nodded slowly. "Alright, well... Just take a bit to rest. By the way, where were you shot?"

Coral looked up and sighed. "Just a minute," she mumbled, briefly placing a hand on Tanzanite's shoulder before she stood and cautiously followed Carnelian outside. Tanzanite had stormed out like this, and Coral had left her to get hurt. No matter how unlikely it seemed, she couldn't help but fear the same might happen to Carnelian.

"I'm not gonna 'run away', if that's what you're wondering," Carnelian sneered over their shoulder, as they heard Coral go after them. "Just let me let off some steam. I don't want to be in there."

Carnelian stared at Coral, demeanor softening considerably. That was what living with Coral did, after all; it softened you to her until you melted the minute that lowered head and timid voice made an appearance. 'Soft' was never a word that would have been used to describe Carnelian before then, but now the idea didn't feel so uncomfortable anymore. "I just need to take a breather, okay? We can talk about this after."

Carnelian sighed, a short puff of breath, before sitting down in the sand. Though Coral served to quell their anger, if only for a moment, the burning resentment was starting to return. She can't just leave like that and act like nothing happened! She can't just expect things to go back to normal like that, after she just up and dumped us!

Morganite left the house a few minutes later, standing on the porch for a second and twiddling her thumbs before turning to Carnelian on the sand not too far off. "Nice day, isn't it?" She glanced over her shoulder towards the door. "Good move coming out here. There's so much tension in there." She sighed, turning her gaze to the water once more. "It's always weird having guests. You were different, but something seems... off about Lepidolite."

"Yeah, I feel you. I don't know how much we'll be able to get out of them, but I wish they'd figure it out." She plodded down the steps and onto the beach, turning to look down both stretches of sand, as if the solution to their problems would come waltzing down the shore. "Do you wanna do something in the meantime? We're all in a bit of a pickle here, but if Tanzanite really did get attacked by something it could still be out there. We could go look? Or..." She threw one more glance down the beach. Coral would not like her next suggestion. "Or Sunstone could?"
