Coral cleared her throat awkwardly. "Well then... For the time being, I guess just stay here. We'll leave you and Tanzanite to catch up." The splotched gem threw a glance at Carnelian, beckoning them with her eyes as she made her way up the first few stairs.

Carnelian met her gaze, nodding and turning to Tanzanite. "You two have fun, then. Don't try to fuse indoors, you're right under my room." With that, they followed Coral up the stairs, battleaxe fading from their hands.

Coral stopped once they'd reached a more private hallway. "Something doesn't seem right about that gem. A few hundred years? And they just come popping out like it's nothing."

Tanzanite watched Carnelian and Coral leave, before turning back to Lepidolite. "So, I um-" a second later, Lepidolite had slammed into her and pressed her against the wall. "You know why I came here all those years ago, right? I intend to complete that. Don't think a hundred years reforming has changed anything."

Coral sighed. "Let's just keep an eye on them for now and we'll get Tanzanite to make them leave at the first sign of trouble." Coral peered around the edge of the wall to look down into the living room, immediately ducking back into the hallway and pulling her khopesh from her gem.

"No," Coral answered quickly. "Tanzanite has a friend who's been in their gem for a few hundred years and I guess they're finally back. But the two of them don't seem to be having a heart-to-heart chat." Coral looked back at Lepidolite, her grip on the sword's hilt tightening. "We need to intervene."

"Yes. Well, kind of. I introduced myself to Lepidolite, if that's what you mean. I offered them a place to stay, but now I'm not so sure if that was a good idea, or if Lepidolite is as much of a friend to Tanzanite as she says they are."

Tanzanite just nodded. I can't get my weapon from where she's got me... augh... Lepidolite seemingly began to pull back to let her go free, but then a second later was right back to holding her against the wall, even harder. "Also. Be ready to fuse with me if it becomes necessary, okay? Believe me, I don't want to have to rely on anyone, but unfortunately it might just have to be you that I do."
"Maybe they were right to chop you up," Tanzanite spat, getting frustrated. "I should have destroyed your stupid stone when I had the chance." She managed to throw off Lepidolite and stomped off, slamming the door shut as she left the house.
