Steven Universe: The Roleplay

"I think it's time," Tanzanite replied without moving, sounding almost breathless. "I don't know for sure, I- I just have a feeling. They've been in there for so long..."

"This is Lepidolite. I knew them, a very long time ago. They disappeared though, but eventually, I found them in a Kindergarten. And I've kept them ever since... waiting to see if they'd come back from retreating into their gem. And I think they're finally coming back!" Tanzanite clapped her hands together, before looking mildly embarrassed and clearing her throat.

"A few hundred years," Tanzanite murmured. "I don't know why that long, but it can't be too long until they come back. I know them." She attempted a laugh. "Lepidolite is an... interesting gem."

"Something pretty awful," Tanzanite replied. "Some sort of- oh!" The gem on the floor began to hover and glow brightly, a physical form appearing quickly after, several different body types flashing through quickly.

Tanzanite stayed where she was, mesmerised. Finally, the gem stopped flashing and onto the floor they dropped with a thunk. A pale purplish colour, their hair was chin-length, wavy, and their gem was right in the middle of their back, and could be seen through a ripped hole in the back of their shirt. "Wooohooo!"

Lepidolite spun around, looking at Carnelian. "Heeeey! You're gonna keep that axe down, right? I'm not gonna bite. Well, unless you are going to attack me. Then I'll probably bite. Not literally, don't worry. Hm... where am I? And who are you anyway?"

Carnelian let their axe fall with a thump against the ground, the blade leaving a splintered mark on the wood. "Some old friend of Tanzanite. Just popped out of their gem after a... very long time."

"Hello! I'm going to be completely honest and confess I have no idea who either of you are. I'm Lepidolite, and I'm guessing that it's been quite a while since I retreated into my gem. Do you know what it's like to have your physical form chopped up into hundreds and hundreds of little pieces? The workthat I had to put into this to come back- oh, Tanzanite!" the newly formed gem stopped to greet their old friend. "How have you been doing? You certainly do look different, I have to say. I'm guessing you brought me here." Tanzanite didn't say a work, her mouth open in the shape of a small 'o'.

"I don't know," Tanzanite replied in a whisper. "I've had them with me for so long it must have slipped my mind." A second later Lepidolite had dragged Tanzanite to her feet. "Nice to meet you too, Coral. Tanzanite, hmm, when did you get so placid and meek? And I don't think I ever remember you wearing a dress. Kind of disappointing, to be honest. I wonder if our fusion would be like it used to be." They turned back to Coral and Carnelian. "Mm, it seems like you two had no idea I existed before now. Terribly sorry to just appear like this."
