Coral shrugged. "I come out here a lot," she answered softly. "The ocean calms me down. Especially the reef. I know it's strange for a gem, but I have a deep connection with Earth... I think. It's just...a feeling I have. I can't explain it, but I feel like I was meant to be here. Like I was born here." She stroked the sea turtle's shell thoughtfully as it grazed the seagrass. Every so often, she would reach out and tap the bell of a passing jellyfish.

Carbelian's brows knit together. Just how long had Coral been on Earth? Supposedly, Homeworld had discovered the Earth when human civilization had just begun. They hadn't begun to build kindergartens until at least the primitive human civilizations.

"That sounds good," Coral agreed, returning their smile. "You know... At the very bottom of the ocean, there're these vents that spew boiling hot water. They're almost like volcanos if you think about it. Unfortunately, it's too dangerous to go that deep."
