"Besides the obvious relationship-related things, there's been a rumor going around about one of the Hermes kids stealing an artifact from the attic in the Big House." Andrea stopped when they reached the pavilion. "Well Cher, you're in charge of this thing. Are you ready to open it up to everybody? It's nearly seven."

"Yeah. I'll just unlock it and get on the PA system..." Cher took a deep breath, unlocking the door to the pavilion and pulling it open. Woah... It all came together perfectly! We actually pulled it off! See? Procrastination isn't always bad! There was a large red carpet rolled down the center of the space, with a huge Christmas tree and Menorah at the end of it. The room glowed with an elegant candlelight and fairy lights strung around the columns, highlighting hues of red, green, blue and white bouquets. She stepped inside, running all the way down the carpet to the PA on the other side of the room. It crackled to life.
"Attention residents of Camp Jupiter and guests from Camp Half-Blood! The Winter Gala is officially open for business!"

Toris, Lukas, and Andersen were still in a bunker, getting ready. The Dane was coaching Lukas on how not to make a fool of himself as the Norwegian was silently panicking. Toris was grappling with his tie one-handed, listening to the display slightly wistfully.

Finally, the three showed up. Toris was leaning heavily on his cane. Lukas hung shyly near Andersen, who had already taken to flirting with some camper from Camp Jupiter.
