Gryffindor Common Room

He checked his watch. "The school should be in lights out by one hour."

"We can sneak in right as the librarian leaves."

"Then we'd better go quickly. Come on." He made his way out of the common room, disappearing down the hall.

Most of the torches had been put out in the hallway. Ricardo's wand gave off a dim glow, which cast strange shadows over the hallway. "I always forget how creepy this place is at night."

"And the poltergeists." Ricardo shuddered. "Once when I was in second year, one caught me in the halls at midnight."

"It was near the start of term. My dad told me about the Room of Requirement and I wanted to do some investigating myself."

"Have you ever snuck out much before now? After dark, I mean."

"Oh? How long did you have to chase her for?"

"Yeah, I mean-- huh?" A silvery figure, a patronus, had bounded into the hall, sitting itself in front of them. Ricardo's eyes narrowed. He recognized it as a bobcat; it had to be Giovanni's patronus. With his voice, it spoke, trembling and shaking and broken. "R-ricardo. We're in the Hospital Wing. I can't explain much now, but... Bianca is dead. So is Elizabeth. You have to tell Jane and then come here. Please."
