Amos froze, having almost missed the fact that his 'guide' had stopped. Could she not get past the guards somehow? He had thought earlier that she was a noble from the respectful way the previous patrol had treated her but maybe there was something preventing that now... He shrugged, there was no harm in helping her out, was there? A smirk slipped onto his features as he uttered several words under his breath, eyes flashing for a brief moment.
A pause. It was silent for several heartbeats.
Then all too quickly, a resounding bang echoed from one of the many corridors that split off from the main area at the bottom of the staircase.

Jac blinked. What a coincidence. Still, she could not miss such an opportunity as it presented itself. She gathered her skirts about her again and tightened her grip on the torch before descending quickly to the dungeons.

Amos positively beamed as the girl moved on due to the timely disappearance of the guards to investigate the noise. It had worked perfectly and no one was any wiser about his presence. He quietly moved down the steps, careful to silence his footfalls in order to avoid alerting anyone nearby that he was there.

The noblewoman turned down a narrow passage, ducking her head under an archway. She couldn't be sure where they were holding the Prince, but this section of the prison was usually reserved for lords and Knights, so it was her best bet.
"Prince Alain?" She called in a whisper, not wanting to alert the guards.
