Ricardo paused briefly, wondering if he should tell her what had been on his mind. He exchanged a quick glance with Giovanni. It wasn't the right time. "Yup," he said with a slightly forced laugh. "You got me. Gossip and stuff..." His voice trailed off awkwardly.
Giovanni stepped in, changing the subject. "So, do you all want some sandwiches? I packed a few for the ride. I have peanut butter for me... Ricardo, I know that pork and cheese is your favorite... Jane, I know you like ham and cheese..."

The Ravenclaw passed out the sandwiches. "Tessa, here's your ham sandwich. I know it's your favorite. And of course, Leo's tomat sandwich right here. And a salami sandwich for Bianca. But I packed some extra," he informed Xander. "If you want one."
"Gee, thanks, Mom," Ricardo snorted, taking a bite. "Why do you even bother to remember all of our food preferences?"
