Romano stumbled behind her, picking leaves off of his clothes in distaste. Still, he noticed how reserved Eve was today. She usually charged ahead at the front... But here she was, trailing behind with him. Hesitantly, he mumbled, "It's okay if you want to walk ahead. I'll be fine."

Eve pulled away, glancing down the path where the other students had disappeared. They'd be able to catch up. "Thank you, Romano..." she said. Smiling slightly, she reached up and carefully plucked a bright red leaf from his hair.

A chill went down Eve's spine and she stood speechless for a moment. By the time she came to her senses, she could tell her face was warm and she was probably blushing. "Romano...?" Eve managed to murmur.
