Eve glanced back at him as they reached the fields. Thankfully, the professor wasn't there yet and she set down her things. Looking over, Eve realized she was still holding his hand and let go quickly. "Well, we made it," she breathed.

"That's very possible," Eve agreed. Just as she finished her sentence, Professor Gamal appeared in the front of the group. He appeared slightly out of breath, as if he'd been running late as well. "Sorry about making you wait," he apologized. "But come along. We must hurry. We're heading into the Forbidden Forest for today's lesson."

Romano's eyebrows rose slightly. As interesting as that sounded, it also sounded rather.. dirty and outdoorsy. I'm hardly dressed to go out like this. The vest alone cost more than all of my textbooks combined... Still, he took the class only for the sake of having another one with Eve making sure there were no boys flirting with her getting to stare at Eve for an hour and a half protecting Eve from any magical creatures or annoying boys that might give her trouble. Yeah. That was it.

Eve grinned, turning to Romano. "I think I know what the lesson's going to be about," she said excitedly. But a moment later, her smile faded and she glanced away.
"Don't forget to pair up, just in case any of you get lost," the professor called as he led them into the forest. "If you do, be sure to send a flare, or something of the sort."

Romano stopped worrying about his clothes in time to notice Eve's change in expression. He frowned, wondering what was wrong.

Eve walked through the woods, pushing aside bushes and tree branches for Romano, who seemed hesitant. Normally, she would've walked ahead to be at the front of the group, but this time, a curious dread left her hanging back. Besides, having Romano walk with her was comforting, in a way.
