The Three Broomsticks is an inn and pub in the all wizarding village of Hogsmeade.
The inn is often warm, crowded, and a bit smoky, but clean and welcoming. A mirror behind the bar reflects the cosy atmosphere, and drinks such as Butterbeer and Firewhiskey are served in glasses and in foaming pewter tankards, as well as gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. Eve walked into the inn, searching for a quieter table in the corner to sit in. Upon finding a seat, she surveyed the room, wondering if Romano and Veneziano were able to make it, or if they had to stay behind to work on recipes.

The quiet lasted for a few moments when the Italians bustled in, muttering in their native language about the cake.

Eve smiled and stood to meet them. "Hey, you guys made it!"

Romano smiled, sliding into the seat next to her. "We deserved a break after working all morning."

"It's fine," Veneziano smiled. "But we wanted to run by you some designs for the cake!"
Romano rummaged through his pockets, pulling out a folded up bit of paper. On it was one of Veneziano's sketches-- a beautiful, iced cake of three round layers. The decorations were obviously inspired by the Fountain of Fair Fortune: The bottom layer had it's outside decorated like an overgrown, mysterious forest. Four people of sugar were perched upon the layer before a large, iced worm. In gold letters, on the surface of the fondant, read "Pay me proof of your pain." The next layer was designed like a steep hill, the four iced people now climbing along one side. In gold letters read, "Pay me the fruit of your labors." The third, smallest cake was iced like a sparkling blue river, the three figures on stepping stones all around the cake with gold letters reading, "Pay me the treasure of your past." And finally, the very top held a sugar fountain, with Sir Luckless sitting on the edge.

"I wanted something less complicated. Sometimes, the simpler the better with these things," Romano sighed. "But Veneziano heard that this was Lyra's favorite story. So he went crazy with the decor."

"Yeah, I can see that. Well, maybe to make it simpler, you could cut down on the number of trees for the bottom layer, and instead of using a lot of icing for the river, you could use some light blue fondant and accent it."

"Maybe," Veneziano noted, writing it down. "I could try that."

"Sure thing." Eve got up, returning a couple minutes later with the drinks. "Here you go." She slid back into the seat, taking a sip of her butterbeer. "So," she began, "besides the cake, are you almost done planning everything else? The wedding's coming up soon, isn't it?"

"Yes," Romano responded. "We have our full menu. The wedding is in about a month, I think."

"Not for long. We still have to figure out away to actually make this cake a reality the day before. We're thinking enlisting the house elves as help."

Romano smiled as he took a sip of butterbeer, while Veneziano quickly assured Andrea that they were okay. I wonder why she asks to help so much? It's not like we expect her to...

(I like how Andrea's switched fandom dimensions. Hi Copper!) "Alright, alright. Well, anyway, how're Tomato and Pasta? I haven't seen much of them since the...incident."
