Jane located the volume in one of her favorite nooks. It was a cozy little space around a corner, just a little alcove next to the window, hidden by a bookshelf. Once she had it, Jane headed back to where Riley sat, setting it down on the table. It was large and leather-bound, with curly script stretching across the cover.
