She mumbled a goodnight to them all, carefully taking her plate and heading to the end of the Great Hall to exit. She waved brightly at a group of her Hufflepuff friends as she passed, the smile plastered on her face a mere facade.

Tessa sat at the Ravenclaw table, nibbling on a piece of toast. A headache had formed overnight, and she felt no desire to eat yet again. The fifth year dropped the food back onto her plate and started to plaît her hair over her shoulder instead - anything to occupy her hands for the time being.
