A ledge lower to the base of the mountain, great for keeping an eye on the other territories. Also occasionally good for hunting.

Hawkpaw sat neatly a few mouse lengths from the edge of the ledge, eyes bright. She was punctual as always, waiting in anticipation for her training to begin.

Wrenfall was a few paces away, checking over a few more things before she was ready to start the lesson. Once she knew there was everything she needed, she turned back to her apprentice. "Are you ready to begin?" she asked quietly.

"Good." She padded back to the base of the rock, where a thin crevice cut into the face of it, extending farther into the mountain. Wrenfall flicked her tail towards it, telling her apprentice, "A family of pikas moved in here a few days ago. I saw them scurrying around a bit, but I wasn't able to catch one before it escaped back in here. They don't venture out a lot, and there's not a lot of places to hide around here. Tell me, how would you go about catching one of these pikas?"

"Don't worry, I'll look out for you," Owlstar told Pikapaw. She hoped that she was being reassuring enough. She really didn't have a lot of experience with younger cats.

Pikapaw just nodded. The farther they got away from camp and started down the mountain, the more nervous she got. This was all new ground under her paws, and she didn't know the rises and falls of the rocks yet. She stuck right next to Owlstar's flank, never more than a mousehair away from her aunt.

Pikapaw listened to her aunt's encouragement, following the path she laid out. The finally stopped on a large, smooth ledge. Pikapaw could just barely see the way the ledge dropped off suddenly, and the forest below and the sky beyond. "Is this Lookout Ledge?"

Ligerpaw stoped walking he was sniffing the air. Thats an odd smell he thought. it smells like... smells like... another clan? No a Fox! "Hey do you guys smell f-" he was then hit from behind and fell off blance down the sharp rocks.

Pikapaw's head flew up sharply. All she saw a blur of movement and lots of colors moving quickly. "What's happening?" she asked fearfully, pressing against Owlstar's side.

"Ligerpaw!" Owlstar yowled, leaping forward to scan anxiously over the edge for him. She snarled viciously at the foxes who seemed completely unfazed and growled. "Pikapaw, stay where you are. There are two foxes and I'm going to keep them busy."

Ligerpaw had landed on small leadge not that far down. both his paws where cut and so was hus back legs all bleeding. he tried to call out to owlste but his hest hurt to much to try and spaek. he quckly found a way to jump up on the rocks above in order to get back up. So he started to jump. (ooc btw you guygs can use the fox if your fight them dont wait.for me to say they attack or somehing just do it yourself it would be much easyerk thank)

Owlstar dived towards the larger fox's paws, biting one hard before retreating. The fox barked in pain, then growled furiously and leapt at her. She reared up on her hind legs and aimed blow after blow on its thick pelt.
"Ligerpaw, Pikapaw, are you two okay?" she panted.

Foxes. Pikapaw's chest tightened up in cold, hard fear. She backed against the face of the rock, whimpering like a kit. "I-I-" she squeaked, trying to call to Owlstar that she was okay, but all she could manage was a squeal. One of the foxes heard, and turned towards her. All she saw was a blur of grays and whites and pinks, but she knew the fox was advancing towards her, and she could hear its snarl growing louder and louder. The terrified apprentice struck out with her claws, not sure where she was aiming. "Owlstar, help me!"

Hearing the apprentice's terrified mew. Owlstar turned and leaped at the fox that was approaching Pikapaw. "Get-- away-- from her," she hissed at the fox, digging her claws into the fox's neck fur.

The fox let out a yelp of pain, rearing back and trying to dispatch the PeakClan leader. Pikawpaw swung her head wildly, trying to see what was going on. "Owlstar?" she called uncertainly.

Meanwhile, the other fox had left Ligerpaw and seemed to be contemplating whether or not to help its friend. Growling, it crept forward.
