Making this den proved a challenge. With sparse vegetation and few landforms, the every first TundraClan cats were forced to weave a den, huge as it was, out of arctic willow, stuff it with various lichens and mosses, and root it to the ground. It at times seems like a living thing, and it may as well be- some of the plants that form it still live, growing and spreading.
