Philip sighed, shaking his head no. He held up a hand. He could be taken care of later. The mission was more important than a couple cuts. He pointed to the door leading outside. An emergency exit. They needed to hurry and help out the Blue Team, which probably already had its hands full with the man.

As soon as they pass the classroom door, we're going to bust out and ambush them. If we hide under the window and keep the lights off while we wait, they'll never see us coming. Sound good?"

Lauren stopped to catch her breath, head reeling from smoke inhalation. She felt physically sick at the thought of the toxic gases mulling about her lungs, and threaded a few fingers through her hair. I can get rid of the smoke. I know I can. It was how that was bothering her; she knew that emotions triggered her powers - embarrassment always resulted in an increase in temperature, whilst fear generally made it colder. Perhaps it was anger she needed. Or pity. Or sorrow. I can't feel everything at once!
