Snakefang padded to the clearing. Behind him were the physically strong, yet mentally weak cats. The easily manipulable, and thus they would be the most loyal. The cats who required leadership to survive.

Rosepaw approached with three others. One gazed around, fearful and jumpy, while the other two looked forwards, eager. "We've got quite the lot here," she commented.

Lupinepaw ran through the dark forest. Her muscles ached but she knew if she were to stop the only outcome would be a far worse pain. She leapt over fallen trees, around boulders and through thickets of thorns. The light gray cat finally reached the finishing line only to be tackled down by a heavy mound of fur.
"Thunderpaw!" She growled and attempted to push him off, but the tom only laughed and kept her pinned to the black soil of the Dark Forest.
"Snooze yah loose!" He smirked but before he could speak again Lupinepaw kicked up hard and fast with her back claws sending him flying over her head. Fortunately he was caught off guard or else she would not have gotten away. Lupinepaw sprinted the last few tree lengths and came to a halt in front of her mentor.
"Not fast enough." The tom rumbled.
This was the third time through. "Again!" He browed
Without hesitation Lupinepaw took off but growled as Thunderpaw sprinted along side her. "Can't you do anything right?" He huffed
"Yeah, I can throw you off of me pretty easily." She growled

Leafpaw woke up in the Dark Forest with a yawn. She had woken up here several times before, to the serene eerie echos of the forest. Her fur prickled when she heard the fighting.

Lupinepaw growled, but stopped herself from turning around or yelling. Let her get punished Lupine, let her get in trouble on her own She thought and kept up her sprint

Thunderpaw was not far behind, although bigger, lupinepaw was much faster. He too jumped straight over Leafpaw but slipped and hit a tree full on
