Victoria listens intently, though it's hard to see quite what Judas is doing with all the parts. Occasionally, she asks a question or two, usually about a certain part's significance. As he's teaching, Victoria decides that she'd rather work with larger machinery rather than smaller. "But what about that spring? Won't it get in the way of that gear there?" She tries to point to the one she's talking about, but it proves difficult.

Frowning, Judas glances at the machine. "I think that's just the angle you're sitting at. See?" He placed it before her so that she had a bird's eye view of the machine. "Looks fine."

"Oh. Yeah, I guess you're right." Still, something seems a bit weird. Victoria dismisses it. After all, she's still new to this and she can admit to herself that she still doesn't know too much about things like the exact placement of parts.

"He was an inventor," she begins. "And he was arrested for doing exactly what you do now. He put magic in his inventions. He was fine for a while. The whole thing was a secret operation. But I guess he said something to the wrong person and next thing I know, I'm legally an orphan. I was seven at the time, and I've had to take care of myself ever since."
