"Just a dream," he repeated, leaning back in his bed. Truthfully, as hopeful as the statement sounded, worry still plagued his mind. What if we never confessed to each other in real life? I don't remember that we did... what if things are awkward? What if he decides that the real me isn't as good as the dream me? What if he dumps me?

Vincent returned a minute later with a warm mug of tea in his hand. Sitting back down on the stool, he handed the mug to Ricardo, smiling. "Here. It's earl grey."

I read somewhere that when you die, there's a chance that you get taken to a sort of place constructed by your own brain, but... that's impossible. How could we have died?" But it fits.
