Morganite poked her head out of her room, hearing the attic's ladder topple down from the ceiling. "Hey, are you guys painting? I think I have some extra stuff we can use for detail work." This was followed by some shuffling, and she greeted them a moment later with a basket full of bright, springy paints and brushes.

"Carnelian, you know that a volcano usually just looks like a mountain, right?" Coral picked up the paint can and inspected it. "Anyhow, we're going to need a darker color if we're going to paint a mural over a solid color."

"You know, Carnelian, not everything has to action-filled all the time," Coral said almost thoughtfully, staring at the blank wall. "A mountain may be a hunk of rock, but that doesn't mean it's boring, even when it's not exploding. Mountains have their own harsh beauty. They can still kill you without the magma, and I think that's pretty 'cool' myself."
