Starting to obsessively draw dragons This link probably won't work but I really want to test it. Flat color this time--scales are too intense to start with. Used legacy pen because I was too lazy to make it any more intense. Yes, patterns don't make sense for a reptile. *shrug* Anatomy based off of an iguana Now that I don't have my deviantart this will be a lot more difficult XD So, I will gladly take requests for a custom dragon. Just fill this out and PM if you'd like one: Color palette: Body type: Element (optional): Wings?: Horns?: Additional features:

This took me almost three hours in all. The scales took a good two hours of that time. First time for me drawing scales, and I'm surprised I had the willpower to draw them. Ignore the dumb bird dragon on the left. I was lazy when coloring that one and sort of gave up. The dragon has boring, ordinary colors. I just wanted to draw a frilled dragon last night and I referenced a head. The back legs need work. I think this sort of dragon would probably have something to do with digging--perhaps that how he finds his prey or something--which is the purpose of the wide paws with short digits. He probably is a slow flyer, and not a glider at all. Lives alone in the woods because he's such a loser, but very capable of defending himself. The frills rise when angered or competing for prey or females, and make him appear bigger. If he falls forward he's probably dead because he's too stupid to get up. The smaller guy is a close relative of the big guy. His single frill also gets the message of dominance across. His beak-like mouth clips open large nuts and fruit--but do not think that he's a nice vegetarian who likes to meditate and do yoga. In their little packs they snap the bones of taller prey, running extremely fast with ostrich-like legs, and bring it down together. His wings only allow ten feet of flight--perhaps twenty feet if he picks up enough speed. These small dragon-pests are no match for their distant, fire-breathing relatives of the west.

Drew a more realistic version of the first dragon. I simply had zero willpower to draw scales, and we were going to watch a movie when I finished. I didn't even shade, just lined and colored. Funny thing, I keep sketching thinking it will just be the sketch and then just get lazy and use the sketch as the line. Made these two using Photoshop Elements 11, and the first was Paint Tool Sai. The brushes for these past two were these life savers that you can download if you have any degree of Photoshop - soenanda.deviantart.com/art/Nanda-s-Real-Pencil-Brushes-for-Photoshop-375416111 So, this dragon is an iguana-like frilled species. They are approximately six feet at the shoulder, and the wingspan is thirty-four feet at full extent. They are extremely versatile, and can be found in any climate. With poisonous toxins being created in an organ beneath the lungs, these dragons are able to kill their prey by stunning with this gas, and finishing them off with shreds of its small teeth. They do best near the water, but they have roamed in desert-like areas. Their horns along the spine act as fins to increase speed, using their otter-like tails to propel themselves. Hilltops have also played host to younger dragons, and their extremely complex material of the wings help in their flying habits that span days, perhaps even weeks in some cases.

Well, today I practiced with the lasso tool on Paint Tool Sai. Honestly, if you have Paint Tool Sai or any degree of Photoshop, it's good to have a fun lasso practice, to be able to be used to it. I drew a sketch out with pencil tool, then lasso-ed bit by bit and colored it in black. Went back in and did each individual color. Lasso tool is great for flat-colored fur--it lets you be able to have super defined edges without dulling the very ends. These are two of my OC's, both of which are redesigned. Elemental wolves--the Light one at the left, dark one to the right.

Just a rough sketch, redesigned two OC's, one of which (Fall) was my first. Gave him a total redesign, just kept the elements of color. His bro, an element Cloud wolf to the left. Fall's own little son in the care of Cloud dude, and Fall himself is a Death wolf. (Grim reaper of sorts) So yeah.

More OC redesigns and lasso practice. Not entirely happy with this one. Ice wolf and Earth wolf. Don't ask the sense of a tree being with earth even though trees are technically plants. XD

So, more of this weird style. (Yes, head is not proportional, but the style is meant to appear sleek and curved. The reason for the huge difference between the two wolves are because one is the non elemental kind, "woodland," and a female, and the other is a juvenile male pre-elemental (pre-elemental is the stage before receiving an element). Recognize the boy? Not happy at all with the girl, but whatever

So, I always shipped Violet (Barley's sister) and Fuzz (the kittypet that she went to live with to escape BloodClan), ever since Fuzz was so in awe with how Violet looked when he saw her. I thought it'd be adorable if they had a kitten, and perhaps fostered runaway BloodClan kittens. Edited both of their descriptions slightly. Had to reference a cat face for Violet, but Fuzz was entirely on my own. Not happy with him. >_< Had to reference some for the kitten, and it looked bad anyway. Agh. Whatever. XD

Well, this is actually for DARPG (Dog Art Role Play) on Deviantart. I don't presently have a Deviant Art anymore, but I'm going to make a new one eventually, and I'll pretty much be set with the basis of my kennel by then. DARPG is really fun. Just so y'all know. I'm really, really bad at drawing dogs, so I have to heavily reference for anatomy of the sketches, then line it on my own. I freaking hate drawing these on Photoshop. Photoshop I mainly use for sketches, since it has a real pencil brush. It has a glitch where pen pressure doesn't affect anything, so Paint Tool Sai wins that war. I just used a normal pencil brush which sucks, and yeah. This is KPK's Goodnight Seattle, "Frasier" the Eurasier. (badum chhhh) I have his information thing filled out, but this description is long enough.

More Frasier the Eurasier drawings. Had to reference for each of them except the third, which I really am happy with how it came out.

So happy with how the wolf came out! I thought of this drawing method last night, and was eager to test it out. I have a new one that I was drawing of another wolf, that is unfinished, and I'll post it soon.

This is the one I was referring to. No wolf in particular. I like this one better than the one before, because the one before's colors were way weird. This method of painting on Sai is still in construction. XD Perhaps I would be able to move on to Warrior cats avatars when I'm done practicing. So yeah. The muzzle looks different from the rest of the colors of the body, which really bothers me now, because I was using a different color (this is technically all one color with different hues). Pretty happy with most of it other than that, except the dumb eye. Can you notice how lazy I got with the back fur? XD It slowly gets worse and worse as your eyes move from left to right

Decided to return to drawing wolves...and flat colors. I'm happy with how the wolves came out (except for dumb Zan's back legs). There's a short story attached to this but it's really bad so I won't say. xD Main idea is that Shadow, grandfather (but he's not old. Elemental wolves live 200+ years, and Zan's about 16 in human years, with Shadow about 40 or something) of Zan, is explaining the idea of the barbaric Woodland wolves of the forests.

Drew this to show the difference between the non-incarnate form Elemental wolf vs the Woodland wolf I think that elemental wolves are traditionally a shade of gray before being given their elements. Elemental wolves are supposed to have more of a roach back. Why roach back? What is a roached back? Well, German Shepherds of the American Showline are plagued by the dumb slanted back that is the root of many dogs that die young of that breed. People breed a lot more for looks, not considering health problems. Some have such a bad back that their hocks touch the ground as they walk. See more: neuermondeshepherds.com/faqs Well, that's not a roach back. A roach back is from the German showlines. The American Showline, to my awareness, does not like roach back. Roach back is less severe to the health of the breed, except that the German showlines are traced back to three dogs, with a risk for inbreeding known. So. now that I've gotten that off my chest... I want the elemental wolves to have a roach back simply because they are not meant to work. They work more with their elements and minds than their bodies. It doesn't really make sense that they would have roach back...seeing as humans would have to be involved to selectively breed them...but we're going to say they do, to show the difference in body type. Woodland wolves are much more robust and more like German Working line German Shepherds, in a sense. They need to be real and have a job. They're much slimmer, since there's a lot less options available for them to hunt and evolve...why? That's to come.

Just gonna copy-paste my description for this from DA : My Freddie Mercury (Freddie), the Sceptile, was one of the two living members of my team in my Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke. The other member was virtually gone already--like Javert, he was "killed" way before, when two members lost their lives for him. (That's a different story and a different picture). Freddie, in personality, was such an Enjolras, but this song ended up being his symbolic reality. He was close and extroverted to everyone--and, in the plot of my fictional version, this was a rebellion--and he was the last one to live. Throughout the Nuzlocke, my objective was clear. Freddie has to live. My starter was just so important to me, and, to be honest, I wanted to protect him. He was never used in dangerous situations. Well, think about how that affected his personified version. Would've killed him. If I remember correctly, his mega evolved self took out Steven's last Pokemon--The Mega Metagross. He would've been crying and hysterical at that point, dealing the move.
