The Hospital Wing

"I can't dye my hair for my whole life," she sighed. "Oh well, I'll burn that bridge when I get to it."

Tessa reached up tentatively to touch her scalp. "Woah... That's so weird!"

She took it, hands slightly clammy, and stared back at her reflection. "It's really shiny. I didn't think it would be. Nice job though, Bianca, there really isn't a scrap of hair left!"

Her smile grew, and she picked at the tape on the box. In less than a minute she had tugged apart the wrapping, revealing two neatly-packaged shapes. She took the top one, carefully peeling away the Spellotape and sliding the bright red wig out. "Oh my..." She laughed. "I'll turn heads with this."

"Bianca," she chastised, casting a critical look at the camera before shaking the wig out and lowering it onto her head. She held out the mirror, straightening it and tugging slightly at the wig cap underneath until it sat comfortably on her scalp. "Well... What do you think?"

"You really think so?" She lifted the mirror again, a small blush lingering on her cheeks from the compliment as she studied her appearance. "Thank you."

Tessa nodded, tugging the wig off and straightening out the wig cap before opening the second package. She put the wig on clumsily, taking a minute or so to adjust it. "I'll have to practice this - it's not as easy as it looks."

"No, I think they're okay," she said, glancing at herself in the mirror again. "It's weird though."

"Thank you," she beamed, tucking a strand of the deep red hair behind her ear. "I bet it's easier to manage than real hair too."
