"I should be fine for a few months. I think they want me back at some point to check how the chemo's working, and if- when they manage to shrink the tumour, I'll go in for radiotherapy and hopefully get rid of it." Her tone was optimistic as she stuffed the packet back into her bag.

She winced slightly as the hair fell from her scalp, but stayed still for Bianca to continue cutting. "Well, the side effects of the chemo mask the side effects of the tumour, so I won't know for sure if it's working until I go for the check-up."
