Hey guys! This is just an idea that hit me when I was flipping through some prompt generators. What if we did our own little writing challenge thing? It's pretty clear that we all love writing here, and one of the many struggles that come with it is trying to figure out what you even want to write about. Here's my idea:
Every month, a prompt goes up on this page. It includes the first line of a story, a setting, and a random noun. Using all of this, we create a piece of writing that we work on over the course of the month. It can be poetry, fiction, basically whatever you want! If it has characters, you can use existing OCs or new ones or write fan-fiction or whatever you want! At the end of the month, we'll all come together to share our pieces and somebody can put up the new prompt. I think this could be a really great way for us all to grow in our writing and expand our ranges!
Thoughts? Questions? Snide remarks?

Snide remarks.
No, I like it! I've been meaning to write more, after all. I think this would be good.

Sounds like a plan then! I'm glad you guys like it! Should I go ahead and generate the prompt, or do any of you guys have first lines, random nouns, settings, etc. you want in it?

Okay guys! Here's the prompt of the month:
The smell of smoke lingered long after the blaze had died.
Write away! We can decide on a sharing date, too.

So we have to use the prompt in the story, as like, a sentence?
