Faster, Xander urged, snapping down his goggles from their usual spot in fear of them being blown away or something stupid like that that would damage them. He had noticed that neither of them were using 'top of the line' brooms that international teams usually mass purchased but... He glanced over at Ricardo. He had no idea what his was capable of but it was certainly interesting to say the least.

Ricardo pushed forward, closer to Xander. His robes whipped behind him as the Trombroom let out a string of high notes, causing him to accelerate.

Xander turned his head at the noise, a playful smirk in the place of his usual grin. "Classy." He commented, half expecting Ricardo's broom to blast out a full length classical piece across the Quidditch pitch by the time they were done.

"It's a Thunderbolt V, there's nothing like a decent broom made on your own home soil but Merlin, have you seen the VII? A death trap if I ever saw one. HQ probably had it coming after that entire fiasco at the World Cup, did you see it? Did you?"

The Germans are seriously upping their game though, what I would give to be able to sneak into their practices or something..."

"I sure hope they carry on their streak, I'll be rooting for 'em since any other country has a better chance of getting to the finals than England has." Despite his complaining, he didn't sound too upset, having long since accepted that his country's 'Golden Age of Quidditch' had ended a while back. Of course, that didn't stop Xander from aspiring to make a career out of it.
