Thunderpaw nodded and with his head hung low he walked out. Even though the punishment was light he till hated being in trouble. Especially by the leader.

Owlstar padded back into the den. "I couldn't find her. Maybe she's out on patrol," she mewed, half to herself. She sighed, staring at her paws as she sat down. "Starlight, something happened today out on patrol with Ligerpaw and Pikapaw."

"There was a fox attack on Lookout Ledge. Two foxes, both relatively young and fierce. We chased them off, but both apprentices were injured." She blinked at Starlight. "I'm so sorry. Thunderpaw dashed away from the entrance and out of the camp for hunting. He sighed he was happy for his friend but he wanted to do something courageous like that.
