Harepaw followed his mentor to the river, glancing at the brightly scaled fish in the water in front of them. He focused his gaze on it, eyes narrowing in concentration, but he gave a quick shake of his head to let his mentor know he didn't know how to hunt it yet.

Her paw shot into the water, and she sprang into action, hooking the fish one her claw and pulling it onto the land. She dispatched it with a bite to the middle. "See? You've got to stay really still. When it comes along, use your claws to get it out of the water."

Harepaw deflated a bit. Fishing seemed to require a lot more patience and sitting around doing nothing than regular forest hunting. But he understood the technique, at least. "Alright."
