A small pile of lichen-covered boulders lies off to one side. Underneath is a small cave, and the smaller surrounding rocks create perfect niches for storing herbs.

Trixie and Scarletpaw made their way into the medicine den. The white-and-dark-brown kittypet was limping, and leaning heavily against the apprentice's shoulder. She had a pink collar with a silver bell, and long, luxurious fur, which was slightly awry and red with blood from her shoulder, the back of her neck, and her nose. She held a forepaw tentatively off the ground as she walked into the den. "Hello?"

The medicine cat apprentice looked up, smelling blood and kittypet. "Oh," he said calmly. "Sit down in one of those nests and we'll get to treating you."

Trixie limped slowly to one nests, collapsing into it. "Thank you," she mewed gratefully. "Are you one of the medicine cats Scarletpaw talked about?

"I was attacked by a... Dusk something cat, I think you called it?" That last part was to Scarletpaw. Her mew trembled a bit as she continued, "I told him I was pregnant, not to hurt me, but he didn't care. He just kept attacking me."

Sealpaw nodded. "Dusk Syndicate. They're known for their... brutal ways." He turned back towards Scarletpaw and Trixie, chewing up lichen and fluffing up soft white cotton. "How long have you been expecting kittens?"
