A metallic glint caught Lawrence's eye and he glanced up at the source. He watched Aisling curiously. He thought he'd seen this girl around before, but he wasn't sure.

She wiped her hands on her trousers, securing her grip on the cool metal before adopting a well-balanced stance and facing one of the remaining dummies.

Getting up, he skirted around the edge of the arena. Settling on a dummy at the far end, he notched an arrow and let it loose. It hit square in the dummy's stomach. Not a horrible shot. Again, he glanced over at the daughter of Hecate, curiosity sparking his interest in what she was doing with that staff.

She noticed him looking from the corner of her eye and smirked to herself. Quickly, the daughter of Hecate raised her staff and uttered a work in Greek, projecting a missile of compact earth towards one of the dummies and hitting it square in the face. Not her best shot, but enough to make an impression certainly.

Lawrence nodded to himself before turning back to his practising. He fired off a few more arrows in rapid succession, nearly all of them sprouting from the burlap figure's head or chest.

Aisling hurled a fireball at the next dummy, and the next, the foreign words slipping from her tongue in rapid progression. A few missed and hit trees in the background, only to be extinguished by angry-looking dryads.

She nodded resolutely, dropping into a stance again and raising her staff, causing the dummy opposite her to levitate and begin moving from side to side.

Lawrence raised an eyebrow, though he only shrugged. This time, his arrow missed. It did so only narrowly, but the error still elicited a soft curse in Greek from him.

Aisling rolled her eyes, taking her frustration out on the next target. It burst into flames before she sent a gust of cold air after it, buffeting the flames a little clumsily but serving their purpose nonetheless.

Lawrence shot a few more arrows, making sure each one landed on its mark just to prove a point. By now, his quiver was empty. Lawrence walked to the dummy and began pulling them out of the straw-filled burlap.

The daughter of Hecate's fingers itched to send s cold wind his way, but she resisted the temptation and aimed it at one of the fallen dummies instead.
