Lukas sighed, pushing open the rusty gate. This walk, the one he took every hour of every day, was getting easier and harder at all the same time. He no longer had to hesitate before seeing him. He no longer stopped the tears. Slowly, he made his way through the camp cementery. Silvery eyes searched for the familiar block of white marble, wreathed with sunflowers and daisies.
Sitting by a specific headstone, made of icy white marble, he read aloud the gala invitation. "What do you say? Should I ask her?"
Andersen Hans Densen appeared from behind a tree. "Yeah, of course! You've been senselessly flirting all summer. Might as well."

Andrea read over her own invitation carefully as she headed across the grounds back towards Cabin 20, debating whether or not she should go. Parties like this usually weren't her thing, but it would be nice to see her friends from Camp Jupiter again. And besides, she wouldn't be at Camp for much longer. Maybe it would be worth it.

Aisling was stood outside of the Hecate cabin, using her magic to position the holly wreath against the door as she hammered a nail into it. She hummed a carol to herself cheerfully, glancing to the window, where a single candle stood alight. The festivities were already well underway.
