She let herself be hugged, feeling a surge of affection for Bianca, who had never been friends with her sister but managed to understand anyway. After a few minutes, she pulled away and wiped at her eyes. "I, erm, I also wanted to tell you that you're the best friend I could ever have hoped for, and I don't know what I'd do without you." It was something she didn't say frequently enough, and the recent events had shaken her beyond reason.

Tessa winced, the irony of it failing to escape her. Still, Giovanni had said that it was best to keep it between them, and she had agreed. Who knew how the others would react if they found out. "So, um, how are you feeling?"

Tessa flinched visibly, the image of Bianca in her coffin, shrouded by flowers, too fresh in her mind. She passed it off as a cough, covering her mouth for a few moments as she thought of what to say. "Hey, why don't I bring some scissors and a razor along next time I visit so you can get rid of this for me," she suggested, indicating her hair with a sheepish smile. The topic change was clumsy at best, but at least it moved the conversation along.

She held up one of the magazines, flipping to a page at the end. "Here. With this company, you choose a style and send them a color and they'll custom-make it. Which is why I have a lovely color swatch chart for us to reference with."
