Giovanni held her tightly, crying into her shoulder. "Nothing's ever going to be the same again, Jane. I miss her."
Nicolas shuddered, sniffling. "I can see now. And... and I did, for a little bit. And everything was so bright and so confusing... and I can hear her, Cora. In the back of my head. She's scared and she's upset and she's not sure where she is. Bianca's part of me now, and it's so scary."
